This bag has been on my Amazon wish list for longer than I can remember but I just couldn't justify the $100 plus price tag for what amounts to a vanity tool bag. I mean, that's the price of a new pinner or hammer drill or well, you get the idea. The price has slowly climbed over the years creeping up year by year. Well, one day I saw an Amazon warehouse deal for what amounted to just over 25% off and I jumped on it.The deal said there was some sort of blemish on about 5% of the bottom, if there was a blemish I couldn't find it, it was flawless to my eyes.Upon arrival the leather was darker than the leather bits on my Klein 5102 but it was probably the driest leather i've ever handled. I rubbed in a healthy dose of Bick 4 which really softened things up.The main leather part that the handles attach to is one piece of heavy duty leather while the ends are a lighter textured leather with heavy leather "bumpers" like the main body sewn in to protect the lighter leather from tool ends. The ends just might be pig skin, which would make sense because of pig skins great abrasion resistance. It won't hold as much as the 5102 model but it's pretty close. How well is this made? After I treated it and wiped it down I squeezed the top closed and forced out the air... it actually held vacuum briefly...amazing. Oh, and the smell, it's that tack room real leather smell.I waited a long time till the price was justifiable to me.. it's worth it, a lifetime tool bag.A few years ago, I started buying the best and crying once instead of buying junk and replacing it every couple of years (even though I'm too old now to worry about it). I wish I'd bought one of these 40 years ago--I'd still be using it. It's smaller than you'd expect, but it will hold everything you need to do most interior fix-it jobs and it's cool-looking, too. The two end pieces are of a flimsier leather than the rest of the bag but they don't support anything so they're fine--but they shouldn't have skimped on this one little detail. The front, bottom, and back is one piece of leather, which is nice, and the interior bottom is lined with white canvas which might sound crazy, but helps considerably when you're looking for something inside the bag. I brushed the whole thing with Leather Honey leather conditioner twice and let it dry before filling it up with tools. It soaked right in, made it a bit more pliable, and water-proofed it. Don't expect to stick a cross-cut saw or a 4 foot level in there, but I've honestly got 99% of the tools I use in it--hammer, screwdrivers, socket set, couple of Vise Grips, wire cutters, pliers, crescent wrench, assorted glues and caulks, tape measure, couple of jars of assorted nails and screws, electricians tape, masking tape, sanding block, utility knife, flashlight, reading glasses (a must), band-aids (another must), spackle, putty knife, paintbrush, T-square, torpedo level, pencils, pens, wire nuts, drain snake, batteries, etc., etc., etc. If you drop $110 on this thing you'll never have to buy another tool bag as long as you live and seriously, I've gone through at least a dozen cheap tool bags/boxes in my lifetime. This tool bag is exactly as advertised, except it is better!!-Sturdy leather-Well positioned and sized handles even for my small hands-plain and basicAfter receiving this tote, I can see why electricians and tradesmen would use this.I, however, have been on the search for the perfect doctor's bag - for years. I was about to settle and purchase a bag to use for my medical tools when a last minute search on Amazon produced this result. No settling and $200-$300 less expensive.Thank you Klein Tools for making the perfect bag for my "medical tools".This was bought for my handicapped son to stuff his things into. He has mild cerebral palsy and as such has difficulty coordinating his eyes and hands. The stiffness of the bag is exactly what he needs to allow him maneuver his ipad into the opening without the bag flopping on the ipad and preventing his inserting it. The straps are strong and the right length to enable him to move them out of the way when he is inserting or removing things. The bag itself is very strong and well made. I know it will last a long time.I highly recommend this bag for handicapped, young, and elderly people, as well as the expected workers carrying all sorts of tools. This bag is great, it’s big enough to carry 3 or 4 zipper bags of tools from my big bag when I don’t need them all, and it’s easy to see what you have inside it.Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He had been using a rubbermaid plastic bin with lid, and i found that both impractical and unsightly. I love the style of this bag, the accessibility, and ease of use. It has a light-colored canvas lining in the bottom, which makes it easier to see your tools than other black-interior poly/vinyl bags. My husband doesn't really care about style, but he genuinely liked this, and I feel happy when I see it around our house. I also like the ease of reaching in for a tape measure or hammer and not having to open the lid of the tupperware on our top closet shelf! very nice quality. Highly recommended!I adore this tool tote! I had seen someone use it as a catch-all in their home at the front door for mail and keys. I considered using it for the same, but it didn't fit the spot I had in mind. I've used it for a work tote and knitting tote. Obviously meant to be a tool tote, it's plenty sturdy and functional -- easy to see and access what's inside. This in an example of minimalistic industrial beauty. I've considered giving these as gifts-- a place to stash a few tools in the car, as a gardener's tool tote, for someone to cary a small dog. Love it!Not happy Stitching was not finished missing rivetsI use this leather Klein bag 5115 as my everyday/night handbag many many lovely comments on this i LOVE IT propa LUSH ?A very nice tool bag Klein tools again ???Beautifully made - of course. Somewhat smaller than expected, but a terrific satchel nonetheless.Great bag. I wanted a bag that was an open style.
